I believe that today’s world is really very colourful and vibrant. There will be so much of difference if we compare it to the past world. Our lives are changing, trends are changing and we are bringing change too. But the most interesting fact is that, we are becoming more bold and vibrant towards our personalities✨.

I hope that you all have come across the term ‘DYE’ .It is used with many activities of our daily lives such as – hair dyeing, fabric dyeing, etc. But in today’s blog I will be discussing about textile dyeing. We all love to wear colourful clothes and garments to look more bold, vibrant, and confident. I personally don’t like pale coloured clothes or dull clothes. I always try to stay colourful atleast by having any small colourful object.

Dyed clothes are made by adding various types of dyes i.e, colourful fluids. In textile factories, the fabrics are soaked either in one particular dye or in fusioned dyes. Then after soaking for few minutes or hours depending upon the shade we want( whether lighter shade or darker shade). Then it is kept for drying for 2-24 hours⏳. After that the fabric can be used to make various clothes.

So, this was a small description of “the dye process”. Next we will be deliberating about the creativities with dyed fabrics.

The dresses which are dyed in a creative way can be called as Tie- Dye dresses. This process can be used to customize your own clothes with your own creativity. The designs in a Tie- Dye tees or dresses depends on the way of tieing the clothes with a thread or an elastic.Even the mixing of the dyes and the applying process are also a major requirement for the designs.

But apart of using dyes, I came up with various ideas of dyeing a cloth. This is for those who doesn’t have ‘dyes’ at home-

• We can either use a dilute solution of fabric colours( acrylic colours) for dyeing.
• Or by applying 15-17 drops of any food colour to get a vibrant shade in a Tie dye shirt.

I swear that it is a very fun task to do at home if you are bored or don’t have anything to do. I personally really enjoyed this process and I think that dyeing can be a good mood changing work for us as nowadays we all are stressed due to staying at home.
